Note for the legal adviser

This template is a general starting point. Before publishing it must be reviewed by your venue's legal adviser and adjusted to your business. Fill in the fields in double curly braces and delete this paragraph.

1. Parties and scope

These terms govern the use of the guest wireless internet service (the "Service") offered by {{venue}} (the "Venue"), operating at {{address}}. Every person connecting to the Service (the "User") declares that they have read and accepted these terms.

2. Nature of the service

  1. The Service is offered to the Venue's customers and visitors free of charge and as is.
  2. The Venue does not promise an uninterrupted, error-free connection or a particular speed. The Service may be stopped without prior notice for maintenance, faults, capacity or other reasons.
  3. Speed, session length, device count and data quota limits are described in the Fair-Use Policy and may be changed by the Venue.

3. Access and authentication

  1. Access to the Service is granted through one of the authentication methods offered on the portal; the primary method is a one-time SMS code sent to the User's phone number.
  2. The User declares that the phone number or e-mail address used for authentication belongs to them.
  3. Authentication codes and coupons are personal and must not be handed to others. The User is responsible for use made with their authentication detail.
  4. If device remembering is enabled, the device may reconnect without re-authentication for {{duration}}.

4. Obligations of the User

  1. To use the Service in line with applicable law, these terms and the Fair-Use Policy.
  2. To keep their device updated and protected, and to be aware that data shared on an open network may be seen by third parties.
  3. To respect the rights of third parties while using the Service, in particular intellectual property and personal rights.

5. Prohibited use

  1. Accessing, sharing or distributing unlawful content.
  2. Attempting unauthorised access to the network, other users or the Venue's systems; network scanning, traffic sniffing.
  3. Spreading malware, sending unsolicited bulk messages, impersonation.
  4. Circumventing technical measures or signing in under several identities to exceed the access limits.
  5. Reselling the Service commercially or distributing it to third parties.

6. Suspension of the service

In case of use contrary to these terms the Venue may end the User's session, remove the device from the network temporarily or permanently and, where it sees fit, refer the matter to the competent authorities.

7. Limitation of liability

  1. To the extent permitted by law, the Venue is not liable for data loss, device failure, security breaches or indirect damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
  2. The Venue is not responsible for the content of third-party sites and services reached through the Service.
  3. The User is solely responsible for the actions they take while using the Service.

8. Record keeping and personal data

As a public-access provider, the Venue keeps the internal IP assignment records expected under Law 5651 (device address, assigned internal IP, session times, authentication detail) and retains them for 2 years. Visited sites, content and messages are not recorded. Details of personal data processing are set out in a separate document, the Privacy Notice; these terms do not replace it.

9. Changes

The Venue may update these terms. The current version is published on the portal; connecting to the Service after publication counts as acceptance of the current terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Questions and notices: {{email}}. Effective date: {{date}}.
