Filling-in note

{{venue}}: your venue's name. {{speed}}: download/upload speed (example: 10/5 Mbps). {{duration}}: session length (example: 2 hours). {{idle}}: idle timeout (example: 15 minutes). {{devices}}: devices per person (example: 2). {{quota}}: daily data quota (example: 1 GB). {{email}}: contact address. Delete this paragraph before publishing.

Purpose

{{venue}} offers free internet access to its guests. This policy explains the speed, time and quota limits that keep the access fair and usable for everyone.

Scope

The policy covers every person and device connecting to the guest network named "{{ssid}}". Anyone who connects is deemed to have accepted this policy.

Limits

LimitValueExplanation
Speed{{speed}}Download/upload ceiling per person
Session length{{duration}}Sign-in is required again when it expires
Idle timeout{{idle}}The session closes if there is no traffic for this long
Devices{{devices}}Devices that may connect at the same time with the same authentication
Daily quota{{quota}}Daily data limit; speed drops or access stops once it is exceeded

Acceptable use

  1. The network is offered for everyday use such as web browsing, e-mail, messaging and maps.
  2. The limits exist so that everyone gets a share; large downloads, continuous video streaming and backups use up the quota quickly.
  3. For tasks that need high bandwidth we recommend using your own mobile connection.

Prohibited use

  1. Accessing, sharing or distributing unlawful content.
  2. Attempting to access other users' devices, network equipment or the venue's systems.
  3. Spreading malware, sending unsolicited bulk messages, impersonation.
  4. Passing your authentication detail (SMS code, coupon) to someone else, or signing in under several identities to get around the limits.
  5. Adding your own access point, repeater or similar device to the network.

Enforcement

{{venue}} may end the session and remove the device from the network temporarily or permanently if this policy is breached. Limits and settings may change without prior notice.

Records and privacy

Connection records of devices on the guest network (device address, assigned internal IP, session times, authentication detail) are kept under Law 5651. Visited sites and content are not recorded. Details are in the privacy notice shown on the portal.
